- 2. Main focus on Katy Perry, with her costume and the cupcake props surrounding Katy. Conforming with the fun aspect of her ‘California Dreams’ song lyrics and music video.
- 3. Here voyeurism is used, with Katy Perry posing seductively in this photo. As this the front cover for the Digipak it is likely to attract more buyers. By using an attractive women on the front of this will appeal to both men and women. Women will see Katy as a role model, whereas men will be interested due to the voyeurism aspect.
- 4. The CDs intertextually link to Katy Perry’s ‘California Girls’ video, with the CD on the right appearing as a lollypop used in the video. Then the CD on the left, being a donut, resembling fun in the music video with bright colours and patterns, as the video consists of all different fun foods, linking to the pop genre.
- 5. The back of the digipak clearly displaying all the songs in Katy Perry’s album. Continuing the typical branding for Katy Perry throughout, with the ‘fun’ aspect. Plus using the image of the CD design of the red and white swirl to use in replacement of the letter ‘o’ in the list of songs.
- 6. A large close up of Katy Perry is used for the inside of the digipak, as the image is quite a personal picture and close up it pragmatically implies this album gives the listener an insight into Katy Perry’s life.
