  WHAT IS ADIGIPAK? A Digpak is a style of CD or DVD packaging. It typically consists of book-style with a card stock outer binding. It also has one or more plastic trays for holding CDs or DVDs which are attached inside.

  WHY ARE THEYUSED? Digipaks as usually used by the same record label and they are a registered trademark of AGI-Shorewood (Atlas Holdings LLC company). They were originally owned by IMPAC Group which were taken over by MeadWestvaco in 2000 and then folded into AGI Media. The digipak name and designs were licensed to manufacturers around the world.

  ARE THEY EXPENSIVE? Digipaks vary in price, depending on where they are made. Disc Makers offer a variety of deals on their digipaks, as you can see below.

  ARE THEY ANYDIFFERENT FROM A NORMAL CD CASE? Digipaks offer the buyer a little extra when the purchase them. They offer them more information that a regular CD case and can sometimes come with various extras like posters etc. They are also made to be more environmentally friendly compared to traditional plastic CD cases as they are now usually made out of recycled goods. Some manufacturers are now using recycled egg cartons and sugarcane to create a paper tray for the digipaks instead of a plastic tray, making the digipaks completely recycled.
