Colour image processing
 In color image processing, an abstract mathematical model known as color
space is used to characterize the colors in terms of intensity values. This color
space uses a three-dimensional coordinate system. For different types of
applications, a number of different color spaces exists.
 color features can also be used to identify objects of interest, such as human
faces and hand areas, for applications ranging from video con- ferencing, to
perceptual interfaces and virtual environments.
What is dip techniques in image processing?
Digital image processing (DIP) technique precisely measures and
quantifies the image and eliminates the subjectivity of manual interpretation.
In image processing, the hardware based color models mainly used are: RGB,
CMYK, and HSI. The RGB (red, green, blue) color system is used mainly in color
monitors and video cameras. The CMYK (cyan, magenta, yellow, black) color
system is used in printing devices.
To put something into a liquid for a short time: Dip the fish in the batter, then
drop it into the hot oil. She dipped her toe into the pool to see how cold it was.
Types of images:
 Binary images. Binary images are the simplest type of images and can take on
two values, typically black and white, or 0 and 1
 Gray-scale images
 Color images.
 Multispectral images.
CMYK, Pantone, RGB, and RAL are four distinct color systems. Each color system
has its own unique usage, with CMYK for print, RGB for on-screen like web,
Pantone for accuracy or calibration, and RAL being used in powder coating and
plastics
COLOR MODELS:
 A color model is an abstract mathematical model that describes how colors
can be represented as a set of numbers (e.g., a triple in RGB or a quad in
CMYK). Color models can usually be described using a coordinate system, and
each color in the system is represented by a single point in the coordinate
space.
 The CMYK color model describes colors based on their percentage of Cyan,
Magenta, Yellow and Black. Many computer printers and traditional "four-
color" printing presses use the CMYK model. In the CMYK model, by mixing
cyan, magenta, yellow and black inks or paints, you can create nearly any
color desired.

There are several established color models used in computer graphics, but the
two most common are the RGB model (Red-Green-Blue) for computer display and
the CMYK model (Cyan-Magenta-Yellow-blacK) for printing. Notice the centers of
the two color charts.
 RGB (red, green, and blue) are the primary colors of light. RYB (red, yellow,
and blue) are the traditional primary colors of pigment. But if we want a
better, more comprehensive set of primaries for pigment, we should use cyan,
magenta, and yellow.
