Current System Security Infrastructure Application servers located at dedicated co-location facility in Reston, Virginia Only approved employees can access the facility Addition/removal of machines subject to additional security measures Machine rack protected by locked cage

DMARS FOR NEW USERS Getting Started To access DMARS, you’ll need the following… Computer Internet Connectivity DMARS User Name Password
Login Screen ***NOTE*** Enter the provided username (email address) and password.
Home Page When you log in, you will see the homepage for the DMARS website.  You may access standard and ad-hoc reports, enter data, view the Cadet Achievement site, and access resources.
DMARS Data Entry Steps to enter data in Core Components: Click  Data Entry  on the Home Screen. Ensure you are in the correct class in the  Class  field on the top left corner. Click on  Cadets  for the field entitled Focus. Click on  Core Components . Choose the Core Component  you are entering information in. Enter needed information and  review the DMARS Manual  for specific data entry needs.
DMARS Data Entry
DMARS DATA ENTRY Two types of fields for data entry:  Required and Non-required.    Required data fields are those data variables that  MUST  be entered.  All required data fields are marked with a red “ ! ”. Information needs to be entered in these fields. Fields that are required by the system because the system (DMARS) will not allow you proceed without entering the data are marked with a  red  * .   Non-required data fields are fields that have been added to the system based on individual program requests.
Data Entry Requirements Number 9 of Attachment A to Appendix 1 in the Master Youth Program Cooperative Agreement states: Data must be collected at each Challe NG e site throughout all phases of each class on a consistent and regular basis. Residential Phases: Data updated weekly by close of business (COB) each Monday for the previous weeks’ activities. Post-Residential Phase: Data updated monthly by COB on the 15 th  of each month. NGB-ZC-AY will publish weekly reports to reflect most recent data submitted. Records for each cadet maintained for at least 3 years.
Checking Your Work Once information is entered in DMARS, it needs to be check/validated.  This step is very important . Click  Standard Reports  on the Home Screen. Scroll down until you see  Core Components . Click on the individual report you would like to view based on the information just entered or click on  Core Components Summary Report (New). On the box that appears, click on  v Report Options   then ensure the following information is entered correctly in the drop down boxes: Year Class Status: Active Click  Request Report .
