Paper crafting is the art of creating 3D objects from paper or cardstock. The word "paper" comes from papyrus, an ancient material made from reeds in Egypt as far back as 3000 BC, and one of the earliest examples of paper folding is an ancient Egyptian map drawn on papyrus. Paper crafts appeal to people of all ages and can be as simple or complex as desired. Crafts can be made more environmentally friendly by using recycled papers, magazines, wrappers, envelopes, and cardboard containers.
