Technology Update Student Centered Technology
Mission The integration of technology into all areas of the student, faculty, and administration is essential in preparing our students to become successful and productive citizens of the future.  Students need to gain fundamental knowledge, techniques, and skills to ensure survival in a rapidly changing world. Students will acquire occupational and economic competence, which includes technological skills, allowing them to be successful in work and in the management of their personal affairs.
Our Goal We will strive to provide the elements that will: assure equitable and safe learning opportunities  result in the student  mastering technical skills continuing to develop and maintain computer literacy developing skills to think critically and logically using problem solving skills being creative communicating effectively being able to find and navigate for information.
What is Needed to Reach Our Goal Improve teaching and learning through the appropriate use of technology Provide staff development programs based on identified needs from STaR Charts, local technology assessment tool and alignment with TEKS, Existing networks will continue to be maintained, upgraded, and/or expanded to meet the needs specific to each campus and to the district as a whole. Promote leadership to staff through effective administrative communications and support services

Existing hardware 3-1 student to computer ratio 1-1 teacher to computer ratio Projectors in each classroom SmartBoard, SmartSlate or Elmo in each classroom Internet access in each classroom Two student computers in each classroom 3 computer labs Calculator based laboratories in Science lab Digital Camera
