Finding the efficiency of change of state of gas
apparatus.
Apparatus :
 Change of state of gas
 Stop watch
Theory :
Work done on the gas can be found in boyle’s law
by findung area under the curve . E nergy supplied
can be found by timing the experiment and
multiplying by power of the battery.
Procedure :
 First we increase pressure of gas inside the
chamber .
 Due to which volume decreases.
 We note the time which is taken by the whole
gas to be compressed.
 By using the formula of costant temperature
we calculate the work done.
 Now we divide the total work done by total
time.
 By doing this power comes.
 Then power is divided by energy supplied per
unit time .
 From this efficiency comes out .
