This document describes an employee gate monitoring system project that was developed to automate daily employee attendance tracking for institutions. The existing manual system was not user-friendly, difficult to generate reports from, time-consuming, and prone to errors. The proposed computerized system aims to address these issues by providing a graphical user interface, easy report generation, reduced paperwork, and computerized control for more accurate and efficient attendance tracking. The project uses VB for the frontend, MS Access 2003 for the backend, and requires minimum hardware specifications of 256MB RAM, 40GB hard disk, Intel Pentium 4 processor, and Windows 7 operating system.
