Project Support
@RSACymrufellowshipfund@rsa.org.uk
@RSACymrufellowshipfund@rsa.org.uk
At the RSA, we believe that everyone should
have the power to turn their ideas into
reality. We call this the Power to Create and it
informs everything we do.
We provide support and financial assistance to help catalyse new ideas into
scalable projects. The program offers grants, support for crowdfunding with RSA
Kickstarter, and help with utilising the expertise within the Fellowship to make
your project a success.
Project Support
Our project support offer can be split into
four areas
@RSACymrufellowshipfund@rsa.org.uk
Scaling Catalyst Grants of
£10,000
These grants are for exceptional
projects addressing one of our key
themes that have clearly demonstrated
their proof of concept and are ready to
scale up.
Small Catalyst Grants of £1,000
- £2,000
These grants are for new projects that are in
their early stages, and in need of a financial
boost to help them develop into a
sustainable project.
Crowdfunding Support with
RSA Kickstarter
Free monthly webinars and
exclusive access for Fellows to
training events at RSA House, with
the possibility of having your
project featured on RSA
Kickstarter. The success rate is
double the Kickstarter average.
RSA Cymru Fellows’ Award of
£500
This grant is for ideas at an embryonic
stage. The award is run separately by RSA
Fellows in Wales to support local ideas and
projects.
Your project must led by an RSA Fellow who will be the main point of contact with the
RSA
Your project should demonstrate clear impact and the potential to be sustained in the
long term
We prioritise projects that:
@RSACymrufellowshipfund@rsa.org.uk
Criteria
• Will be truly catalysed by our grant
• Have the greatest potential to achieve measurable social impact
• Offer a new solution to a pressing societal problem
• Align to our main areas of work.
Case Studies

All Female Richard III : Kickstarter funded production
This funding enabled the team to take workshops and
rehearsals into ten schools in Cardiff and the Vale and offer
special free performances for invited audiences -one for an
all-female invited audience who would not otherwise be
allowed to attend and one for people who couldn't
otherwise afford to come. Omidaze mission was to spread
and raise awareness of arts in Wales.
The 172 backers also provided invaluable links and
opportunities and a new all female production of Henry VI
ran though February this year.
