The study evaluated the toxicity of five medicinal plant extracts against the maize weevil (Sitophilus zeamais) affecting stored maize, conducted at Hajee Mohammad Danesh Science and Technology University from May to December 2017. Among the extracts, wild capsicum showed the highest average mortality and lowest seed damage among treated samples. The research emphasizes the potential of these botanical pesticides as effective, affordable alternatives to synthetic insecticides for pest management in stored grains.
