EVALUATION QUESTION 6:
WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNT ABOUT
TECHNOLOGIES FROM THE PROCESS OF
CONDUCTING THIS PRODUCT?
PRE-PRODUCTION
 Before any filming we had to cosider different factors that would affect
the filming of our media project. For example one problem being the
weather. When filming outside we used speech so the weather needed to
be nice and have no or low wind. This is because the cameras
microphone will pick up any wind which would then over power our
voices.
 This problem could have been solved by having special microphone that
would have cancelled out the wind however we just filmed when there
was minimalistic wind around us.
 Another problem we experienced was the lighting in the gym sceneas at
first it looked like the camera might not work well withe the shadows.
However we still filmed as we first planned and when checking trough
the shots after shooting them we realised that the lighting was fine.
CAMERA AND EDITING
 For the camera we used the Panasonic HC-V550 video camera which has
1/5.8in High Sensitivity CMOS with 1.5 Mpixels and a 42x zoom; 50x iZoom.
This was given to us by the college to use for filming. It was good as it came
with a tripod and allowed us to get good close ups and follow the
movement of some of the falls withouthaving to hand hold the camera and
risk the shot being not the best is to shaking of the hand.
 For editing we used Adobe Premier Pro CC. This was good to use as it was
easy to understand and give us many opportunities to look at different ways
to make a shot look good without having to reshoot.
WHAT HAVE I LEARNT ABOUT TECHNOLOGY FROM THIS?
 When i first started this project my knowledge on filming and movie making technology was quite low. It
took me a while to get a hang of some of the things we used however now near the end point I’ve
become a lot more comfortable with technology. I’ve learnt how to get best shots and how just having a
good camera isn’t always enough as the correct angle needed to be found aswell.
 I am more confident in being able to do it again if asked.
