Exceptional children are those children who deviate significantly
from the normal ones.The deviation may fall on the either end
and therefore,the exceptional child may be significantly below
average or above average in terms of physical
development,mental ability , social behaviour and emotional
reactions.
GIFTED CHILDREN
A child whose IQ is above
130,is usually considered as a
gifted child.

The children who have IQ above 70,but learn at
areduced rate compared to their peers ,are
referred as slow learners,or as borderline
children.

complex learning situations
 Help them to develop self confidence
 Give a series of brief and graded
lessons that can be completed in
short periods of time.
 Give provisions for the over learning
of the lessons.

An underachiever is a learner whose
achievement consistently falls below his
potential ability.
