Able to record reasonably small pieces of work allowing the user to capture moments HD camera that is small and durable. The camera has face recognition and is portable. Also good for a user who would like to change form picture to film mode. Disadvantage: there are no microphone jack and no manual or automatic adjustment leaving user to use the default setting. Battery life isn’t long preventing user from capturing long durations of film. Where I used it in my work: to shoot vox pops in Unit 2.

Arm connected to a computer. Disadvantages: Poor delivered picture quality In comparison to SLR cameras. How I used it for my work: Used it to film additional shots in first production is unit 2.

Internal flash reaches most necessary points needed allowing pictures to be fairly lit. The camera is also able to take both pictures and videos allowing the camera to fulfill more than one purpose. Can attach external mic. Disadvantages: can be quite difficult to operate by beginners. Extra equipment/attachments such as lenses cost more (some more than the camera itself) Best used by: on location shooting; professional photographers How was it used for my work?: used it to film sequence in for advert and film on location for light Reviews by those that have used the equipment: - The Nikon D3100 comes with a rugged 18- 55mm VR Lens kit. - A professional photographer can choose 28- 300mm VR kit with the brightness of the image to be alive.

  Equipment: MIC Additional Features -High quality Directional microphone Model: Rode Mic Price: £52 Advantages: No battery required (powered by Camera plug-in power. Price reasonable for small projects such as educational reasons and small documentaries. Disadvantages: not very helpful/useful to those shooting big projects. Big film studios will find difficulties using it to capture great massive experiences and events. Most useful to those recording dialogue. Best used for: Capturing diegetic recordings such as dialogue allowing voices to be received and projected better. How I used it in my work: I used the mic to capture my voice over for my YP employment project in unit 3.

  Equipment: Mic • Features •Mic plugs into camera for mic availability. • Easily used mic • Handheld • Battery Required • High quality sound Model: E840s Sennheiser Mic Price: £70 Advantages: an extended high frequency range with consistent sound quality (varying distances, moving off axis). Handles high sound pressure levels. Disadvantages: Battery operated giving the user battery limited time only.
