The camera has face recognition and is
portable. Also good for a user who
would like to change form picture to
film mode.
Disadvantage: there are no
microphone jack and no manual or
automatic adjustment leaving user to
use the default setting. Battery life
isn’t long preventing user from
capturing long durations of film.
Where I used it in my work: to shoot
vox pops in Unit 2.

Advantages: the camera has both manual
and automatic focus allowing the user to
have full control over the management of
the camera. Internal flash reaches most
necessary points needed allowing pictures to
be fairly lit. The camera is also able to take
both pictures and videos allowing the
camera to fulfill more than one purpose. Can
attach external mic.
Disadvantages: can be quite difficult to
operate by beginners. Extra
equipment/attachments such as lenses cost
more (some more than the camera itself)
Best used by: on location shooting;
professional photographers
How was it used for my work?: used it to
film sequence in for advert and film on
location for light

events. Most useful to those recording
dialogue.
Best used for: Capturing diegetic
recordings such as dialogue allowing
voices to be received and projected
better.

to capture my voice over for my YP
employment project in unit 3.
