This practical conference of 240 participants will focus on social enterprise
innovation in services and how to develop social entrepreneurship support
ecosystems, especially in Scandinavia and the Baltic states. It will focus on the key
success factors of markets, money, models and measurement and will facilitate an
exchange of knowledge and next best practice.
The event has the objective of boosting social enterprise agenda in the context of the
EU push on social investment and social enterprise under the Social Business
Initiative, including building on the outcomes of the work that took place in
Strasbourg in Jantuary 2014, and in particular, how ecosystems of support for
social entrepreneurship can be developed.
There will be a mix of participants from the member states, the EU institutions and
other stakeholders.
The outcomes of this event will be a series of co-created, practical suggestions to
facilitate social enterprise to reach its full potential using Finland as a model,
identifying an Ecosystem Template for Social Enterprise Success. This process is
also aimed to support other member states that are interested in developing an
enabling ecosystem for social enterprise. The delegates will also co-create a Social
Enterprise Manifesto to support the writing of the next Finnish Governmental
Programme.
