- 8. Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) is a public university established on June 5, 2008 with a motto "Excellence Through knowledge". BUP with its own unique features is set up in a green landscape away from busy life of metropolitan city. The University provides a tranquil, pollution free, secured campus life.
- 9. The youngest university is confident in furthering the knowledge in the field of national security, technology and modern science to achieve the desired human resources development of the country.

- 12. As a student of BUP, we have to know the problems of our own institution. So that, in future we may have a better BUP. We apologize that we can’t cover every single problems of BUP. But In this presentation we try to focus the common problems of BUP & try to show you some probable solutions. In this presentation we also want to show up the future of BUP.

- 15. We have a Information Center at the ground floor of BUP from where you can collect your required information. There is also a Medical Center where students & officials get quality medical treatment fully free of cost.
- 16. BUP ensures internet facilities throughout the campus by LAN and wireless method. So no worry about your data pack. Do you know? 9 out of 10 students use wifi at BUP.
- 17. Full BUP campus is under video surveillance except washroom & under construction area. So, you always feel safe & secure at BUP. There is a Central Control Room to supervise all the real time footage of every single Close Circuit Camera.
- 18. Vista café is probably the only café with a lakeside view. Good food, even the overpriced rice-chicken-vegetables set meal, will probably fill your tummy and make sure you get the egg-chops before they run out.
- 19. There is no record of Eve Teasing here in BUP. BUP authority is very much strict against eve-teasing & ragging. Compare to the other public & private university of Bangladesh, BUP is the safest one for every single student.
- 20. BUP library has resourceful collection of 7000+ books (as of 2018), and a good number of magazines, periodicals, journals and articles from home and abroad. The library gives access to online journals through online. It also subscribes a number of Bangla and English newspapers and periodicals.
- 21. There are 2 buses, 2 mini buses, 5 micro buses for the Faculties & Staffs. Moreover there are 15 buses for the students which is a great facility for the them. The bus schedule for different parts of the city can be found in the BUP website.
- 22. There is a Day Care Center inside BUP campus which helps our Faculties, Officials & other support service peoples. Because the don’t have to be tensed about their baby. In the Day Care Center, BUP ensures a motherly care for every single children.
- 23. Cyber cafe provides internet browsing facilities to students and faculties. There are 24 computers with internet connections. So students and researchers can use those computers anytime.

- 25. Though there are 15 buses for the students, but this is not enough for them. Everyday BUP bus is so over crowded. Ladies specially who have ware saree face problems in the bus. Inside BUP bus
- 26. For 5200 in house student, BUP buses have only 596 seats. That means for each 9 students there is only 1 seat. This statistics depict the real scenario of the bus crisis. Inside BUP bus
- 27. To ensure safe & sound journey to the BUP campus, Authority should increase the number of buses & reschedule the bus timetable. Authority should conduct a research before rescheduling the timetable.
- 28. There is only 7000+ books in the BUP library. But look at the affiliate institution beside us called MIST. They have 50000+ books in their library. In Dhaka University Library, there are more than 680,000+ books in their library.
- 29. At Tertiary level education, an enrich library is a must. Without books, a student can’t do good research or can’t learn any academic issue properly.
- 30. Buy as many book as possible on the demand of the each department can solve the problem. Moreover, Area of library should be increased along with good seating arrangement.
- 31. There is no doubt that Vista café is gorgeous, neat & clean than other public university cafeteria. But the price of food is a little bit high for the students. The quality of the food is not always up to the mark.
- 32. “65% of the BUP students take food from the Vista café at least once in a week.”
- 33. So, It is really very important to upgrade the food quality & reduce the price of foods in the cafeteria. Moreover, Variety of Foods should be introduced in the Cafeteria.
- 34. In this era of technology, we can’t think a day without internet. It is true that in every corner of BUP is under free wifi network. At BUP, 9 out of 10 students use BUP free wifi network. But the speed of the wifi network is not so good.
- 35. Most of the time student can’t get connected with the wifi. It hampers their study a lot. So high speed internet should be ensured by the BUP Authority.

- 37. BUP don’t have any hall inside it’s campus. So it is difficult for the students to attend the class from home. Many of the student’s parents don’t live in Dhaka. So they have to rent house near BUP or take seat from the BUP extension buildings in DOHS which is quite expensive.
- 38. It is true that we have a very furnished & well equipped auditorium. But this is not enough space for 5200+ in house students & 1000+ officials. So BUP authority should increase the auditorium seating capacity .

- 42. Vision 2030 of BUP Currently there are 16 departments at BUP under 7 different faculties. But at 2030, there will be 32 different departments going to be introduced in this university
- 43. Vision 2030 of BUP At present, there are 5200+ in house students studding at a time at BUP campus. At 2030, More than 20000+ in house student will get chance to study at BUP.
- 44. Future of BUP Students of BUP have a very good presentation skill which is highly required for the job sector of Bangladesh. Students who passed from this institution already proved their capability in local & international market.

- 46. Future of BUP A new stadium is going to be established at BUP campus which will produce more quality players for BUP as well as Bangladesh too.
- 47. Future of BUP Residential Complex will desire the housing problems for the students & officials of BUP. All students of BUP will enjoy the hall facility from 2030.
- 48. Conclusion BUP is dedicated to provide high quality of education that delivers real benefits for the students. Thus BUP is the unique academic entity in the country, where blending between the civilian and the armed forces students of diverse skills, experience, exposure and attitude is possible.
