AT&T partnered with Xavier University to bring a virtual reality experience about the dangers of distracted driving to students. The experience included memorial walls and crushed car parts to illustrate the real dangers of using a phone while driving. University and local officials hope the experience will encourage students to put their phones down while driving, as research shows that nearly 9 in 10 people admit to using their phone behind the wheel. Since 2010, AT&T's It Can Wait campaign on this issue has received over 23 million pledges to not drive distracted and helped increase awareness of the problem.
