 Library Day CelebrationHungary 2009-20111The school library in Orosháza, Hungary would like to improve the following: the number of real library users (that is more and more of our students should become conscious users of the library, using it for its main purposes like reading, searching for information, using the catalogue by themselves, and not just for surfing the Internet or photocopying, or reading only compulsory books). We already have a number of this kind of conscious library users, but we would like to have more.
create digital databases (for example of earlier issues of local papers or other information of local relevance so that they can be searched online, or digital learning materials about any school subject so that they become available for anybody to use on a computer).
create the possibility of a somewhat bigger and more independent library budget (so that the library can spend more on non-compulsory, mainly contemporary literature, both in Hungarian and in foreign languages, mainly English)Italy 2009-20111Concerning our Library it would be useful to equip the room with more computer seats, shelves and books.
 Some curtain material to shadow the excess of light during spring time.

We wanted our students to join author events and book signings.
