This article discusses the formation of environmental competence in primary school students. It argues that environmental competence is developed through involving students in environmental activities, projects, and developing personal qualities. Environmental competence is formed both in the classroom and through extracurricular environmental activities. The article also analyzes literature on environmental education and the methodology for developing environmental communication skills in primary school students. It provides recommendations for using interactive technologies and electronic means to focus on ethical values and interdisciplinary approaches in the ecological education of students.
