My travelling days were many
Communication with the outside was hard.
Never worked and WHO was
Listening….
Only for the privileged
minority like the military…
The Challenges were great…………
Floppy discs – when did they ever work when they’d
been through an x-ray machine
Books – no kindles or tablets – excess
baggage
Food – always a problem in some parts
Now – just food is a
bit of a problem
Email – a major breakthough
Major tech companies pioneers alike provided email systems to cross
boundaries.
Evolution – email resurgence: IBM Verse, Microsoft Clutter, Google
Inbox
Facebook grew and grew – giving birth to
many other social media platforms
 It became a way for me to stay
connected to friends and family even
though I was miles away. Sometime
but not always in exotic locations.
