Task 3
Multimedia Photography

•

Multimedia photography is is a contemporary type of art. It when an image
is used alongside effects and other types of media (such as paint) to
create images that are abstract or just something with a little bit more
edge and uniqueness than just a normal image.
Ways to create multimedia photography can be either physically or digital.
An example of a physically created multimedia image is the first image,
that has been created with an image and then paint added to create
something more from it. An example of a digital creation is the other two
images. The first one is created by adding cartoon images on Photoshop
and effects. The second one is created by adding effects and filters to
create an Andy Warhol style image.
Multiple Exposures
• Multiple exposure images are created by overlaying 2 or more
images and fading them into each other. Another way to create this
effect is by cutting around an object or person (like the middle two
examples) and making the main image come through where you cut.
You also need to fade the cut out image so you can vaguely see
some of the details from that image.
• I will probably use this method in my final pieces as I have had a few
good ideas of what to create and I also love the effect that it creates
whether it it a full image merge or the background image cutting
through a gap in the foreground image.
