Editor's Notes

  • #2: Hi, this is a 30-minute keynote that tries to capture the FUTURE of CONSUMER ELECTRONICS. The intent, as directed by RETAILVISION, was to explore the next 24 months– not the next 10 years. Time on stage is limited so there are a few extra slides in this version. While this PowerPoint was designed for a speech, and not for print, I think it holds together as an example that innovation is alive and well in Consumer Electronics. There are plenty of exciting products in the consumer pipeline. While the rest of RETAILVISION (the panels, the networking sessions) tried to focus on the science and art of retailing, the RETAILER CENTRAL area included exhibitors. I am happy to say that several exhibitors had products that made it into my speech. Almost all this news is FRESH, taken from sources less than 90 days before RETAILVISION to ensure that attendees have the very best available look at what’s coming. If you like this type of PRODUCT and INDUSTRY NEWS, please check our web sites (you can find a FREE subscription to our e-newsletters there). www.ConsumerIT.eu www.On-CE.net Www.ECINews.eu And, as ALWAYS, you can find us in person at RETAILVISION. Thanks, Bob Snyder Editor-in-Chief THE DISTRIBUTION CHANNEL LTD.
