George Washington was said to be very athletic in his childhood, being able to throw a rock farther than anyone else across the Potomac River. He was also very punctual, allowing only a 5 minute difference for guests who came to dinner late. While he was not very successful in his first battle as a soldier, leading to the surrender of Fort Necessity, George Washington came to be known as the "Father of his Country" and viewed as a man of integrity by the founders of America for his role as the first US President and fighting for the beliefs of freedom and nation without God.
