Git là một hệ thống quản lý phiên bản phân tán được phát triển bởi Linus Torvalds vào năm 2005, cho phép phát triển song song và quản lý source code hiệu quả. Git hỗ trợ nhiều loại nhánh khác nhau như master, develop, feature, release và hotfix, với khả năng xác thực lịch sử bằng mã hóa và tích hợp với các hệ thống hiện có. GitLab cung cấp quản lý kho git và các tính năng hỗ trợ như rà soát mã, theo dõi vấn đề và tích hợp liên tục.
