A brief History
• Founded by Larry Page and Sergey Brin
while studying in Stanford
• Officially started in August 19th 2004
• Majorly built to compete against then
prevalent Yahoo! Search engine.
• The new sense of Ads made Google as a
pioneer in the market which still remains the
same
Working Environment
• They ”hail from all walks of life”, speak
different languages, reflecting the global
audience.
• They take the example of start-ups in this
regard.
• They encourage googlers to pursue interests
ranging from cycling to beekeeping ,from
Frisbee to foxtrot
