- 1. 1. Introduction Session Objectives: In this training session you will get an overall view of the ArchiCAD interface and the capabilities of the virtual building concept (BIM). Description: At the training session we will play around with the model by doing modifications and understand the linkage of that 3Dmodel with all the documentation already set up. Driven by the trainer you will understand the benefits of the BIM workflow and all it’s advantages and capabilities on the development of any architectural project. - The BIM Concept. - The ArchiCAD Interface. - Navigate Around the Floor Plan. - Navigate in 3D. - The Virtual Building Concept. - The Documentation Workflow. 2. Basic Course Objectives: Those who complete this course will be able to start working on small projects with a basic knowledge of the main modeling tools and document generation. Description: This course is an overall learning of the work flow of ArchiCAD that allows the trainees to start building a small pavilion and get the proper documentation associated to that, Model: Plans, sections, elevations, 3D documents, renders. See how that documentation is fully linked and interactive with the model and get a final batch of PDF and DWG documents. - Slabs, columns, stairs and roofs. - Curtain walls, walls, openings and GDL Objects. - Dimensioning (automatic and manual procedures). - Create Stories, floor plans, sections and elevations. - Views, 3D Documents, and visualization. - Layout, rendering and exporting documentation. 3. Advanced Modeling Description: Objectives: Teamwork collaboration “best practices” and BIM Server management will follow up in a second round of training after a few weeks of “hands on” work. This course is for Basic Archicad users. You will learn the advanced modeling and documentation tools of Archicad. Level 1 is recommended. Those who complete this course will be able to fully understand the ArchiCAD BIM workflow and will be able to complete by themselves a full project with out further self-training. You will create a small multi-story house by using all the main tools and construction elements (walls, slabs, roofs, stairs, windows..)getting into the details and parameter of all of them deeply and comprehensively.Will learn as well advanced tools for extracting information from the virtual model such as schedules and details, 2d and 3d documentation and 3dvisualization.
