offices and three plants in North America. Primarily an NT platform, Badalament also leases AS400

Provided broad help-desk support to management and end-users including:
 Daily support and maintenance of enterprise network servers including on-site and remote
monitoring of back-ups through Arc Serve from Bright Stor, system logs through Event Viewer,
and anti-virus messages from Norton System Center Master Console.
 Implemented Outlook Web Access across firewall using IIS.
 Installation of SOHO and Net-Screen firewalls, and anti-virus procedures using Norton Anti-
Virus Corporate Edition with IPX-SPX as the protocol to communicate with the legacy Win98

 Allowed users to gain access to Network resources using RAS while outside of building.
 Installed centrally managed Card Access system in remote site to secure outside doors as well as
inside doors that operate on a schedule that can be changed from the corporate office.
 Used PC-Anywhere to manage remote Win 98 machines and remotely program
telecommunications equipment as well as the Card Access system to open and close doors and
change the schedule as necessary.
 Linked Water treatment system for refrigeration to the LAN using two connections: RS-232 and
TCP-IP for monitoring chemical levels in the water tower.
 Installed AS/400 Client Access software and pointed to an IP address outside of the building to
a company that leased AS/400 service to our transportation division. Installed printer sessions
that also printed across the Internet from the leased service from Integrated Computer
Corporation.
 Managed the implementation of two corporate Web sites, gathered information from key players
in the company and worked hand and hand with an outside vendor until complete.
 Gathered all licenses, software and documentation then inserted them into binders separated and
labeled per machine, piece of equipment, software suite, or service.

 Verified full backups every morning from the night before while changing the tapes in all servers.
 Installed a bundled T1 in a remote plant to provide Internet service as well as voice channels
through a CSU/DSU.
 Installed DSL as a redundant Internet access point in the event of a T1 failure allowing remote
users to gain access to the Terminal Server and email services.
 Managed all cellular accounts on line along with all local and long distance accounts through XO,
Verizon, and AT&T
IT Manager:
Implemented an IT management model to insure smooth IT operations through the following changes and/or
enhancements:
 Drafted, proposed and followed annual IT budget covering hardware, software, voice and internet
access, outside vendor support and all related IT fees. Implemented various spending policies for
cell-phone and internet access use; monitored and reported expenses versus budget on a regular
basis.
 Re-located and secured data and telecommunication resources in centralized separate area to
optimize network performance and security. Designed and constructed a new server room and a
new telecommunications closet in a 60 year-old building with very minimal outsourcing.
 Re-organized license and disaster recovery documentation to reduce potential downtime.
 Created enterprise desktop standards including company wide “standard load”, covering OS
policies, desktop, back up and anti-virus policies.
 Hired and managed software support vendors for accounting and dispatch application suites.
 Reduced telecommunications costs by 40% through RFP for long distance, video conferencing
and high-speed Internet services; bundled and delivered through an ISDN-PRI circuit.

Telecommunications Installer/Service Technician:
 Conducted needs assessments for clients documenting end-user and management requirements
based on current and projected business needs. Developed, proposed and implemented
telecommunication solutions including new or re-furbished telecommunication systems.
 Worked with clients to use voice mail software as a business process tool. Re-engineered voice-
mail configurations, auto-attendants, unified messaging (combining voice and email communica
tions), and fax-on-demand services to improve efficiencies.
 Trained in-coming technicians on telephone/voice mail equipment installation, cable installation,
termination tasks and troubleshooting techniques.
 Implemented fiber optics for long-distance voice and data communications.
 Set up call centers using the ACD functions within the PBX while monitoring and managing the
ACD group using TASKE through the OAI features of the Inter-Tel PBX. Trained the customer
how to use the TASKE software to do the same.
 Installed SMDR tracking tools called Inside Track that captures the SMDR coming out of the
PBX in comma delimited text and allows the data to be manipulated and reports generated
tailored to each application.
 Implemented many DID circuits to various customers to allow direct inward dial to the desktop
and reduce unnecessary call handling.

 Installed Local Cells for wireless key sets that used OAI to a third party product called Spectra
Link which allowed for long distance wireless service on the PBX through full feature digital
Handsets for large shops or showrooms even between buildings.

  • 5. 8/2000 – 12/2002 Badalament, Inc. Detroit, MI Badalament is a 50 million dollar produce, warehousing and distribution enterprise with two corporate offices and three plants in North America. Primarily an NT platform, Badalament also leases AS400 services for trucking. System Administrator: Provided broad help-desk support to management and end-users including:  Daily support and maintenance of enterprise network servers including on-site and remote monitoring of back-ups through Arc Serve from Bright Stor, system logs through Event Viewer, and anti-virus messages from Norton System Center Master Console.  Implemented Outlook Web Access across firewall using IIS.  Installation of SOHO and Net-Screen firewalls, and anti-virus procedures using Norton Anti- Virus Corporate Edition with IPX-SPX as the protocol to communicate with the legacy Win98 desktops.  End-User Help Desk support: 1st , 2nd , and 3rd level support to 40+ users.  Serviced and maintained all networked and stand-alone print devices and fax machines using IPX-SPX and TCP-IP for printing through various print servers like HP Jet Direct, Intel, and Linksys.  Hardware upgrades and troubleshooting on third-party desktops and laptops (clones and Dell).
