This document summarizes research on integrating fuzzy logic control with linear quadratic regulator (LQR) control for an aerial refueling autopilot. It describes modeling an aircraft, applying LQR control alone and with fuzzy logic control integrated. The integrated LQR fuzzy control is shown to more effectively suppress uncertainties and minimize mission time compared to LQR alone.
