- 3. • For most of the on-campus interviews, there will be a test conducted for all the students and based on the cut-off mark, they will eliminate the remaining students. So based on the pattern, prepare for the test. • Some software companies will conduct a programming test in “hackerrank.com”, “codechef” websites. So have a practice on these, before going to attend the test. • Be perfect in one programming language. U may have choice of choosing the programming language in the test. • Now a days, most of the programming questions are of Dynamic programming. • Some IT companies conduct the test that consists of basics concepts of C, C++, data structures, aptitude, verbal and reasoning. - 4. • Make u r resume according to the profile given. Don’t add unnecessary things that u haven’t learnt. Whatever things u r perfect, mention only those things. • Don’t be panic at the time of interview. If they come to know nervous, they may give preference to other person. • While answering the question, be confident whether it is right or wrong. • Don’t wear dark colour shirts, prefer light blue, white or cream colour shirts. Don’t add perfumes. • Have a good sleep of min 7-8 hours, the day before you are attending the interview, so that u can have fresh mind. - 5. What are the things you need to prepare? • If it’s a technical interview • For a programming test, you need to know the basic programming languages like C, C++, JAVA. I give preference to C++. But u can choose any language based on u r convenient. • Now a days, most of the companies are asking about the dynamic programming and also it takes little time to learn it. • If it’s a normal test, then questions on VERBAL, APTITUDE, QUANTITATIVE ANALYSIS, BASICS OF C AND C++ (Some companies will ask JAVA based on the job profile) and DATA STRUCTURES. • DBMS is also asked by some software companies. It will give an idea and also they will come to know “what kind of questions they will ask, how the job will be”.. etc • Apart from questions, Puzzles were also asked in both technical and HR. while answering the puzzles, they mainly focus on the method (approach), not on the answer. • Coming to the HR interview, they will ask some general questions like “why u want to join our company” and the most common one “tell me about urself “ etc. • Some Software companies wont give much preference to HR interview.
