This paper presents a hybrid method combining modified nondominated sorted genetic algorithm (MNSGA-II) and modified population variant differential evolution (MPVDE) for solving the multi-objective economic emission load dispatch optimization problem. The methodology aims to achieve an optimal balance between cost and emission while avoiding premature convergence, validated on various test systems including IEEE 30 and 118 bus systems. The results demonstrate improved performance compared to existing methods, highlighting the effectiveness of the proposed approach in handling complex optimization problems in power generation.
