  Theatre company name:The Icarus Theatre Company Trailer: scene 1: the characters are scattered around an audition room. we use camera angle to suggest the closeness of the characters. they are friends but have very different aspirations and goals as well as highly contrasting backgrounds, personal situations and perspectives on life. the sound of a heartbeat can be heard the camera zooms towards Jack, a lower middle class male who has gotten this far through hard work and effort. and aspiring theatre director, he spends his time reading and studying. he is stooped in the corner preparing for his audition, chloe and jake, dancers who have grown together and share the same dream of turning professional are sat together stretching. Lauren a disadvantaged youth who has gotten on track through finding her creative side is standing nervously at the side of the stage the professor is seated at the side of the stage, waiting to judge. one by one the characters get up and leave until jack is the last one left Jack: I’ll never forget that day. We all came here, cocky, stupid, naive’. That was the day we started our journeys. the day everything became real. one by one our names where called, we where put before the panel. hopeful and passionate, our time being kids ended and our lives began. the heartbeat sound grows more intense. jack (the last one on stage) apprehensively stands in response to his own name being called. the camera tracks to follow him as he walks off stage into darkness in the wings and the sound of a cheering crowd is heard. (an inspiring song fades in) dramatic moments from the lives of the characters flash on screen. cut to black- titles rise.
