Adelaide and Melbourne experienced mid 40 degree temperatures while Sydney was 28 degrees, despite Sydney being closer to the equator. Melbourne had bushfires to fight under the hot conditions. The differing temperatures between the cities could be due to different weather patterns influencing each location on that particular day.

- 1. Task: On this dayboth Adelaide and Melbourne were experiencing mid 40 degree temperatures and Melbourne was fighting bushfires. Sydney’s temperature was 28 degrees. Account for the difference in temperatures between Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney. Why would this be the case when Sydney is at a lower latitude and closer to the equator???? Explain why Melbourne had horrific fire fighting conditions on this day.
