Interequip
Carman Auto i700Sydney Institute Northern Beaches Campus
Automotive faculty, Interequip and their
software engineers developed and tested
the software for the Auto i700.
The vehicle used for testing the DPF
regeneration function was our Subaru
Forester, which is driven around the
Campus but also has extended idle time
during student activities.
During the successful test we were
surprised at just how blocked the DPF
was! This was a good experience for our
students to see how software is developed
for aftermarket scan tools and the testing
that happens behind the scenes.
With the new software update we are
able to expand the scope of learning
activities for our students when using the
Subaru Forester, giving them a positive
learning experience.
This is a good example of TAFE and
Industry working together to provide
not only practical training for upcoming
automotive technicians but also
developing repair solutions for aftermarket
automotive workshops.

nterequip has released a
software upgrade for the Carman
Auto i700 that enables the
user access to Subaru diesel engine ECU
functions such as engine oil reset, injector
coding and Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF)
regeneration as well as accessing the
SRS system. For some time now only a
few scan tools have been able to access
these functions on Subaru diesel engines
making servicing and repairing these
vehicles difficult.
