Office of Government Commerce (OGC) & PRINCE2 Profile • OGC is a UK government agency • Amongst its goals is delivery of projects to time, quality and cost, realising benefits • OGC standards: PRINCE2, MSP, P3O, MoP, MoV, ITIL etc. • OGC’s project management standard – PRINCE2, originally developed for public administration, has become increasingly popular also in the commercial sphere • Now used in more than 50 countries • Current version of PRINCE2 standard: PRINCE2: 2009 • Certification body for PRINCE2 is the APM Group (APMG) • 2 levels of certification exams: Foundation & Practitioner • Accredited training organisations – ATOs offer courses, most of which also include exam entry in the fee. 6
