In simple words, IoT is an ecosystem of connected physical objects that are accessible through the internet.

As soon as there is an exchange of information and data per message from real-world devices, transiting over the Internet, allowing remote interaction on a state or local status of a: • Any physical or virtual object whose at least one state can be receive • Any application whose status can be transmitted Examples of physical objects: • a phone (wifi) • A sensor or an actuator • A car ... is rather a set of physical and / or virtual connected object Examples of virtual objects: • A device driver • A label (RFID for example)
