The document presents a mechanism for detecting irrational nodes in multihop cellular networks to enhance performance and fairness. It introduces a fair and low-cost incentive mechanism called FESCIM, utilizing hashing operations and cyclic redundancy checks to identify non-cooperating nodes while reducing overhead at an accounting center through a designated border node. Extensive simulations reveal that the proposed system improves throughput and decreases end-to-end delay by effectively managing node behavior.
