He expresses in one of his interviews that this was one of the first horror films that he had even seen in which he stated that the film scared the life out of him. He also goes on to say that from then he had a obsession with clowns, which we see this obsession in the movie called saw. He also says in the interview that the film called Poltergeist has a haunted house which then went on to influence all of the other haunted houses in other thriller and horror movies. James wan then continues to say that he likes the thought of putting people on the edge of their and making them wonder what will occur next in the movie.
