SUMMARY
Over the last 15 years, I have had the opportunity to work as engineer and manager across all types of
software development environments, from start-ups too multi-billion dollar companies. I have also learned a
number of lessons around how to effectively take a software service from design, through effective testing,
and into a stable application lifecycle. I understand the importance of adopting the correct methodology for
an organizations development efforts. I know how to build the proper environments to ensure that the
software being developed is vetted properly as it goes through the necessary testing tiers. I have worked
successfully in the past across multi-regional and culturally diverse teams where communications can be
challenging with time zone and cultural differences. Project challenges can grow when an organization has
projects involving HIPPA, PCI or Government related compliance efforts. Often p rojects such as these need to
be tempered with clear expectations, patience on both sides and quorum of key stakeholders on major
decisions. I am passionate about tackling challenges where appropriate whether they be process or
technology driven, and finding the right solution for the customer.
More recently I have been working on a number of projects involving open source communities as well as
larger enterprise efforts involving complex on-premise analytic environments migration to hybrid cloud
environments that take advantage of IaaS and PaaS offerings. I currently maintain a set of publicly available
tools for Azure on Git as well as few other places. These tools are being developed to automate workflows
involving Azure PowerShell and configuration management through Chef or Desired State Configuration
(DSC). Configuration Management tools are critical components for DevOps regardless of whether the
environment is Azure, AWS or On-Prem. Hybrid cloud scenarios will be the reality most organizations face in
the coming years as folk’s transition to cloud infrastructure.
I also enjoy contributing to the Azure cloud knowledge base by publishing on LinkedIn, with articles covering
all of the aspects of the tools I have built and lessons learned. These articles cover subjects ranging from
SharePoint SSO, to the Value Dev/Ops can provide to your organization. There are lessons learned around
technologies such as, Application Insights, Data Factory, Azure Resource Manager automation and
deployment, and tips for easing some of the pain points in Azure.

CLOUD ARCHITECT/ENGINEERING MANAGER
ROLE
Hired to work on the building, maintaining and deploying the Accenture Cloud Platform Hybrid platform
environments for all Azure interop. This involved architecting both infrastructure On -Premise and Azure
cloud components in order to provide pre-production and production environments for the platform to run
in. I managed to SME’s who maintained the environment and assisted development teams with
improvements in the release process, source control implementation as well as automation. Our team
supported roughly 120 development folks that developed the PaaS micro services implemented as part of
our cloud platform. We also supported Windows 2012 R2 On-Premise environments leveraging Hyper-V,
SCOM, and VMM for provisioning virtual resources in a customer’s data center.
ACCOMPLISHMENTS
 Drove supportability and product improvements with Microsoft to better ensure the stability of t he
product we were building on top of Azure
 Implemented multi-tiered release environments in conjunction with continuous release process and
agile development process by leveraging TFS and Octopus deployment software.
 Drove supportability and product improvements with Microsoft to better ensure the stability of the
product we were building on top of Azure
 Architected cloud infrastructure vision for Azure Hybrid Cloud service offering . Implemented architecture
to provide full Azure based provisioning system for ACP.
 Reduced cost of the platform by leveraging less expensive components through more robust
architecture by 70% of initial platform implementation. Cost savings extended to all environments in the
project.
 Chef HA implementation and architecture to manage cloud-based virtualized infrastructure for
configuration management and compliance reporting in conjunction with DSC PowerShell interop.
 Architected IaaS Share Point 2013 HA Farm in Azure with SSO integration to On -Premise Infrastructure.
Automated deployment of SharePoint 2013 staging and testing tiers in Azure via ARM-based templates.
 Windows 2016 Nano Server adoption and migration in conjunction with DSC (Desired State
Configuration) implementation.
 Migrated large complex infrastructure made up of open source platforms (Nagios, Horton Works,
Cloudera, Chef, SQL, Exchange, AD) and Microsoft based OS’s deployed in secure data center
environment to Azure. Built automated deployment process leveraging Azure Resource Manager and
PowerShell that provided zero touch deployment capability for the entire environment in Azure.
