Administrative Details JEM is a e Content Plus 38208 Thematic Network Start date: 1 August 2006 Duration: 36 Months Max EU Funding: 800000 €
Addressing the eLearning Challenge To produce e-content improving the way students learn and teachers teach is harder than expected: it requires a combination of expertise and competences. For mathematics , professional mathematicians, software engineers, publishers, learning theorists, should be enabled to productively talk to each other.
Goal of the JEM Thematic Network To channel the expertise required to enhance the quality of eContent in mathematics.
Mission of JEM Foster and extend the multicultural and multilingual use of semantic markup for mathematics in the e-learning community Monitor learning technologies so that mathematical content can be integrated and delivered by state-of-the-art and leading systems Structure, coordinate and support the user and authoring community of e-learning in mathematics.
