Your Target Companies Working List of  10 companies  or  organizations  you would like to work for today Online Research Crain’s Cleveland Business Libraries The Plain Dealer (cleveland.com) GOAL:  get interviews  with these companies
Your Timesheet/Accountability Record your job search activies daily Remember, a full-time job search is FULL-TIME (40 hours/week) Find an accountability partner or group to meet with you regularly Share networking (job) leads Develop job search strategies Plan, execute and evaluate your success
Network, Network, Network It’s all about connecting with people! Personal  BUSINESS CARDS Use your  30-SECOND COMMERCIAL Review your network contacts weekly Meetings, phone calls, emails Follow Up Update your contacts daily Attend networking meetings Professional Groups Job Search Support Groups Job and Career Fairs
Follow Up for Success Face-to-face is the best follow up Don’t be afraid to use the phone Use proper Email business etiquette  Don’t be late on a follow up commitment Be Persistent but not a Pest!
Interview Preparation Know the company your are engaging Know the interview format Dress professionally and greet with a smile and confident handshake Practice your responses to tough questions Have good questions ready that YOU would like answered ASK FOR THE JOB!
