During pre-commissioning & commissioning:  Ensure that the pressure testing for all lines and equipment are done and no leak.  Flushing & drying all equipment and lines, and prepare them for start-up. During pre & start-up:  Make sure that all instruments are fixed in the proper locations and tested by instrument engineer, the same thing for control valves after drying the equipment and lines.

  2  Insure thatall utility services are reached to plant like steam, air, SW, CWS, NG and N2.  Ensure that the unit is ready for receiving starting materials.  Ensure that raw materials are charged in the lines and reached to the unit.  Complete start up methods for individual sections as per as SOP for normal start up. After start up:  Operate the purification of EDC from water, low ends and high boils.  Operate the cracking of EDC to VCM.  Operate the purification of VCM from HCL and EDC. Equipment handled:  Thermal Cracking Furnace (Natural draft furnace).  Different type of Distillation Columns (Vacuum – Atmospheric - Pressurized).  Refrigeration Compressor.  Pumps (Diaphragm, Centrifugal& Gear).  Absorber. Summer training:  Amreya Petroleum Refining Company for two weeks (Summer 2010).
