- 3. The Student I amKay Calayo, 19 years of age . I graduated my elementary level in Magallanes Elementary School and my HighSchool Level in Magallanes Western Cavite Institute Inc.. And know I am a 3rdrd Year Student taking up Bachelor in Elementary Education (Major in Early Childhood Education) at Cavite State University Don Severino de las alas Campus. This is my Final requirement in Ed Tech2 and it summarizes my track of development through the subject.
- 4. Educational Technology ina Nut Shell The Ed Tech is a subject to be taken by the student like me because it is a part of our curriculum. This subject made me aware of the things when it comes in using technology in Education. We need to consider the traditional way of teaching and the modern way of teaching in the implementation of the subject matter. This subject allows us to understand the uses of Technology in Education.
- 5. Educational Technology As areview is Ed Tech 1 it is about the evolution of technologies that are use in the classroom ranging from traditional to modern technology. From the library , chalkboard and now, the widely use of technology. Ed Tech 2 will serve as the continuation of Ed Tech 1 that will basically help us in preparing ourselves for a globally competitive world. The main concern of this subject is about the technology and internet that are use by the teacher in integrating their lessons and encourage students to use technology in education in a good way. We need an appropriate and proper way of teaching that meet the needs of modern students.
- 6. Educational Technology inAsia Pacific Region We all know that technology is very common now a days. It has been arising throughout the whole wide world. Most of the countries in Asia Pacific Region are the: Some countries can afford or use technology in the classroom but unfortunately some countries may not. - 7. Basic concept onintegrating Technology in instruction From this picture the teacher integrate the use of technology in teaching and learning process. When integrating technology in the classroom we are using learning technologies to: Introduce (a discovery) Reinforce ( an existing idea) Supplement ( absorption ) Extending the skills Technology integration is really good and can enhance way of instruction. But there are things to be considered on using it. All teachers and students must know what are the limitations on using technology in Instruction
- 8. It enters anew learning Environment In this lesson we have four conceptual models of learning. MEANINGFUL LEARNING Students already have prior knowledge that is relevant to new learning GENERATIVE LEARNING DISCOVERY LEARNING CONSTRUCTIVISM We have active listeners who attend to learning events The students become personally engaged and NOT subjected by the teacher The learner builds a personal understanding through appropriate learning activities This given concepts can help students to become active learners, to explore, and to manipulate the things they want to know. Through that our students gain experience and their learning become meaningful.

- 10. Higher Thinking SkillsIt-Based Project Through Guided Hypermedia Projects - they use PowerPoint for instructive tools and Videos for communication tools Web-Based Project- they create and post webpage on a given topic.
- 11. Computer as Informationand Communication Technology We all know that computer has something to do with learning. We use computer in different ways. In just one click we can search anything we want , we can watch videos and we can communicate with others.

The Computer asa Tutor Not all tutors are human it can also be a thing and that is called the Computer Assisted Instruction We need to remember that computer cannot replace teacher because teacher are the one who has the major role in the teaching process . He /she are the one who deliver lessons and the only one who manage the class.
- 13. The Computer asTeachers Tool We are now in the 21st century so the computer are the most common tool use by the teacher in making their teaching more effective. Computers has capabilities and this are: • Informative Tool - The computer can provide vast amounts of information in various forms, such as text, graphics, sound and video.

The Computer asTeachers Tool • Constructive Tool-The computer itself can be used for manipulating information • Co-constructive Tool- the use of the electronic whiteboard where students may post notices to a shared document • Situating Tool-the computer can create 3-D images on display to give the user the feeling that are situated in a virtual environment.

Information Technology in Supportof Student Centered Learning -The student becomes passive learners -The students are just seat and receive information from their teacher -maintain classroom discipline -The student becomes active learners -Demonstrating independence self awareness in the learning process.
- 16. Cooperative learning withthe computer Cooperative learning is same as collaborative learning wherein the students in every group are expected with each other. They work together in a common learning task

We need to choose appropriate type of educational software that we can use in teaching so that students will not become boring and have more interested in the subject matter. Two types of Software System Software and Application Software
- 18. Understanding Hypermedia Understanding Hypermediahas different characteristics Learner control Learner wide range or Navigation Routes. Variety of media When using computer we can find lots and lots of hypermedia. This hypermedia helps to organize the content of the page.

When we hear the word "Internet" the words that come into my mind is knowledge, ideas, facts and information. And it should be related to Education. On how they apply Technology in Education. It can help me to become an effective teacher on how I integrate computer in teaching and learning. • Educational Technology would help me to realize and motivate when it comes in using Technology in Education

Learning through EdTech 2 • As a future educator we need to make our student to become computer literate and to let our student motivate to learn. • I learned that when I am on the field of teaching I will make sure that I will meet the needs of my learners. • To engage my students in Collaborative Learning so that they can develop their socialization with others.

Learning through EdTech 2 • Though were using Modern Technology we should not forget the traditional way of teaching because not all of our student can provide personal computers. • It teaches me what are the importance of Traditional and modern way of teaching. • Engage my students in reporting, demonstrating, games, and doing research papers which they can apply the use of Technology.

Learning through EdTech 2 • I also learned that in the process of teaching the teacher and students are present so that learning process will occur. • We need to remember that computer cannot replace the teacher. • To engage active learners rather than passive. • Technology is a "Bane" or "Boon" on how it is used considering the result of it.
