My Learning Episode Overview
This episode enables me to observe the different classroom routines performed by my cooperating
teacher. Getting with these routines will ensure a very organized, systematic, and classroom.

My Big Ideas (Learning Essentials)
These are the backbone of daily classroom life. They facilitate teaching and learning. Routines do
not just make your life easier; they save valuable classroom time. What's more important is
efficient routines make it easier for students` to learn and achieve more. When routines and
procedures are carefully taught, modeled, and established in the classroom, children know what is
expected of them and how to do certain things on their own. Having these predictable patterns in
place allows teachers to spend more time in meaningful instruction.

on classroom routines and procedures.
 Before establishing specific procedures or routines, it is necessary to have a
discussion with students about their importance. During this discussion, you
should be able to talk about the rationale behind various routines. When
possible, invite students to create procedures with you. This process can
nurture a sense of ownership and community in your classroom. In
establishing procedures or routines, it is important to:
 Ensure that students understand the reason for the routine.
 Clarify the procedure through modeling.
 Allow students opportunities to practice the routine through rehearsal.
 Try not to overwhelm students by teaching too many routines at once. The
process of establishing routines and procedures may take several days.
 Remember that it will probably be necessary to revisit this process as

My Analysis
Establishing classroom routines is important because:
 It enables the teachers to have good classroom management.
 It enables the learners to know what will happen the next day and he will be able to prepare
for it.
 It enables the learner to establish a good habit every time he arrives at the school.
 It gives the students a feeling of responsibility.
My Reflections / My Insights
If I already have my own class, I want to do the following:
 Arriving in the morning

-Checking excuse letter if the student has.
