  LIBRARY CONSORTIA: INTERNATIONAL •CARLI (Consortium of Academic and Research Libraries in Illinois) began operating on July 1, 2005. CARLI was formed by consolidating three existing Illinois academic library consortia. Main Program CARLI Counts ( library leadership immersion program that prepares librarians to make effective use of research findings), CARLI Research Funding Program (program provides funding to CARLI Governing Member Library staff and faculty with the intention of spurring research and innovation that support) • CONCERT (CONsortium on Core Electronic Resources in Taiwan) nonprofit consortium of 200 colleges, universities and research /government organizations- launched in 1998 - now is conducted by the Science and Technology Policy Research and Information Center (STPI).
