Louis XIV, the king of France, died on September 2, 1715. He ruled as an absolute monarch and centralized political and economic power under himself and the state. During his reign, he fought in three major wars to expand French power and influence in Europe while also reforming the administration and subduing rebellious nobles seeking to curb his authority. Louis XIV will be remembered as a great king for his accomplishments and impact on French history and culture during his long reign.

- 1. LOUIS XIV Today,the death of the king Louis XIV has been known. We will remember him for what he have done,for what he has fought. GREAT KINGS THURSDAY,2 SEPTEMBER,1715 The reing of this monarch, marked one of the highlights of French history, both from the political and cultural point of view. He was the highest representative of monarchical absolutism, which can be resumed in the phrase " I am the State". He strove to control all the activities of goverment, from the court protocols to economic reforms or theological disputes regulation. His first concern was to submit his authority to the other powers of the kingdom, also reformed the administration, what kept the nobility in constant rebellions. Apart from that he also increased the power and French influence in Europe, fighting in three great wars: The war of Holland, the nine years war and the war of Spanish succession. Ftrom now on he will be consider as a GREAT KING for all of us
