Growth
Strategy
Technical textile accounts for approximately 13% of India’s total
textile and apparel market and contributes to India’s GDP at 0.7%.
There is a huge potential to fulfil a large demand gap as the
consumption of technical textiles in India is still only at 5-10%
against 30-70% in some of the advanced countries.
www.mahavirspinfab.in 18
24/12/20
In order to capitalize on the above inference, we at Mahavir base our
growth strategy on the following levers:
Product Innovation
NicheValue Added Products
Capacity Enhancement
Cost Efficiency
New Projects
24/12/20 www.mahavirspinfab.in 19
Expansion project to double our weaving capacity in order to fulfill all our
greige demands in house, eliminating any dependence on third party
suppliers for greige as well as ensuring the best quality for our customers.
Capacity expansion of our stitching units, with an addition of machines in
our Stitching unit 2 as well as a proposal to expand Stitching unit 1 to
increase garment capacity up to 200,000 pcs monthly by the end of 2021.
Diversification of our rainwear range by developing various blends of
laminated and coated fabrics to cater to a wider audience.
Incorporation of a knitting unit to develop knitted fabrics for workwear as
well as activewear, which will enable us to foray into another arena of
niche value added products.
