- 1. How to sync subscriber lists between and using API key
- 4. Enter your email address and password.
- 5. Choose account if there is more than one.
- 6. Click Login for selected account.
- 7. For this tutorial, we are going to create a new subscriber group.
- 9. Click Add new group.
- 10. Enter the Group name and click Create.
- 11. The new subscriber group has been created.
- 12. Click Webforms.
- 13. Click Add new Webform.
- 14. Enter the Form name and click Save and continue.
- 15. There are several webform types to choose from.
- 16. For this tutorial, we are going to use the Embed Form.
- 17. Scroll down to Embed Form and click Create Embed Form.
- 18. Choose a subscriber group then click Save and continue.
- 19. The embed form has been created.
- 20. Since there is only one field, i.e. Email, click Fields.
- 21. Click the desired field; in this case, Name.
- 22. If this is a required field, make sure it is indicated as such.
- 23. You may also drag a field/s to any location on the form.
- 24. The Name field is now above the Email field.
- 25. Click Save.
- 26. Make sure that Double opt-in is on.
- 27. Double opt-in means that the user confirms the subscription request twice.
- 28. The first time is when the user submits an email address.
- 29. A confirmation email is then sent to the email address.
- 30. The second time is when the user clicks the link inside the confirmation email.
- 31. This second opt-in confirms that the user who entered the email address actually wants to subscribe.
- 32. In the WordPress dashboard, click Add New under Pages.
- 33. Enter the name of your new page then click Publish.
- 34. Click Edit with Thrive Content Builder.
- 35. Click the Thrive Landing Pages dropdown menu.
- 36. Click Choose landing page.
- 37. Select Big Picture Video Page then click Load Landing Page.
- 39. Since we will be doing a double opt-in, we will create a confirmation page.
- 40. Add a new page in the WordPress dashboard.
- 41. Enter the name of your new page then click Publish.
- 42. Click Edit with Thrive Content Builder.
- 43. Click the Thrive Landing Pages dropdown menu.
- 44. Click Choose landing page.
- 45. Select Big Confirmation Page then click Load Landing Page. 1.4
- 46. Edit Subject Line and From Name Here.
- 47. Close the window and click Save Changes.
- 48. Copy the URL of the confirmation page.
- 49. Paste it in MailerLite and click Save.
- 50. Click your MailerLite profile to open the dropdown menu.
- 52. Make sure that Double opt-in for API and integrations is on.
- 53. Click Edit for Subject.
- 54. Modify the Subject and click Save.
- 55. The Subject should coincide with the Subject Line of the confirmation page.
- 56. Click Edit for Sender.
- 57. Change Sender Name if necessary.
- 58. Change Sender Email if necessary and click Save.
- 59. The Sender Email should coincide with the From Name Here of the confirmation page.
- 60. Click Edit to modify the email content.
- 61. Use the elements on the right side to edit/design your email.
- 62. For this tutorial, we are only going to change this.
- 63. Click this part or the edit icon.
- 64. Change the text using the editor on the right.
- 65. Click Save.
- 67. Lastly, we are going to create a thank you page.
- 68. A thank you page is important to continue interaction with a user.
- 69. Use the thank you page to prod a user to engage further with your brand.
- 70. Add a new page in the WordPress dashboard.
- 71. Enter the name of your new page then click Publish.
- 72. Click Edit with Thrive Content Builder.
- 73. Click the Thrive Landing Pages dropdown menu.
- 74. Click Choose landing page.
- 75. Select Big Picture Download Page.
- 76. Click Load Landing Page.
- 78. Copy the URL of the thank you page.
- 79. In MailerLite, click Confirmation Thank You page.
- 80. Scroll down until you see Or use your own landing page.
- 81. Paste the URL of the thank you page and click Save.
- 82. Click your MailerLite profile to open the dropdown menu.
- 85. Copy the API Key.
- 86. In WordPress, click Thrive Dashboard.
- 87. Scroll down and locate API Connections.
- 89. Click Add new Connection.
- 90. Select an app in the dropdown menu.
- 92. Paste the API Key from MailerLite and click Connect.
- 93. Click DONE.
- 94. The MailerLite connection has been created.
- 95. Edit your landing page with Thrive Content Builder.
- 96. Scroll down and click any portion of the signup form.
- 97. Click Connect with Service.
- 98. Click Create a new Connection.
- 99. Choose API.
- 100. Click Go to the next step.
- 101. Make sure the API Connection is MailerLite.
- 102. Select the mailing list created earlier.
- 103. Click Save.
- 104. The signup form has been connected via API key.
- 105. Scroll down to see all the fields.
- 106. Click Display toggle switch for Name field so it becomes YES.
- 107. The phone number field is not part of the signup form we created so we will ignore it.
- 108. Edit Field Label / Description.
- 109. Make sure that Validation for Email is specified.
- 110. Tick the check boxes under Required Field if applicable.
- 111. Scroll down to Action After Signup.
- 112. Click Redirect to URL for After the form is submitted.
- 113. Go to the confirmation page and copy the URL.
- 114. Paste the URL here and click Save.
- 115. Click any part of the form to fix the layout.
- 116. Change Horizontal to Vertical.
- 117. Click Edit Components then Submit Button.
- 118. Change Button Text from “Download now” to…
- 119. to “Sign me up!” then close the window.
- 120. Click Save Changes.
- 121. Click Close Thrive Content Builder.
- 122. Let us now test our work.
- 123. Fill up the form and click Sign me up!.
- 124. You should now be in the confirmation page.
- 125. Scroll down to see the instructions further.
- 126. In your inbox, you should see this email .
- 127. Open it and click Yes, subscribe me to this list.
- 128. You should now be in the thank you page.
