Mailhem Specialty
1. Anaerobic Treatment
We specialize in generation of Biogas using high rate Bio-Methanation techniques developed
indigenously by us over the years. In the initial years, the company concentrated on Research and
Development work to develop High Rate Biomethanation technique using Modified Upflow
Anaerobic Sludge Blanket (M-UASB). All types of Biodegradable organic waste, be it liquid or
solid can be treated by us to the entire satisfaction of the Pollution Control Authorities. The end
products are Biogas, excellent organic manure and treated water for gardening or ground water
discharge. We have exploded the myth that Anaerobic Digestion works most efficiently with single

substrate. We now propagate the theory of co-digestion with different substrates to maximize
Biogas production.
2. Integrated Solid Waste Treatment
The experience gained by our Executive Director Lt.Col.Suresh Rege (Retd.), as CEO of IL&FS
Waste Management & Urban Services Ltd. (now IL&FS Environmental Infrastructure & Services
Ltd.) has encouraged us to take the next logical step to provide Integrated Municipal Solid Waste
Treatment. The concept is a combination of Biomethanation (Wet/Green Garbage), Refuse
Derived Fuel (RDF) / Gasification / Pyrolysis (combustible waste), Compost (mixed organic waste),
Plastic to Fuel and Scientific Land-Fill (SLF) (inerts) along with our Indian and Foreign Associates.
We have association with well established companies as our financial promoters for BOOT / BOO
Projects.
3. Non-Segregated Solid Waste Treatment
Our French Partners specializes in treatment of non-segregated municipal solid waste, leachate
treatment, capping of existing dumpsites, scientific landfill, landfill bioreactors, hazardous waste
treatment and large Biomethanation plants.
