Mary of Scots was Queen of Scotland from 1542 to 1567. She was born in 1542 and became Queen at only 6 days old when her father James V died. She spent most of her childhood in France and married the Dauphin of France, but was widowed when he died after only a year of marriage. When she returned to Scotland she married her cousin Lord Darnley and had a son, but Darnley was later murdered. Mary was forced to abdicate the throne to her son James. She fled to England seeking protection from Queen Elizabeth I but was found guilty of plotting to assassinate Elizabeth and was executed in 1587.

They have a son called James In February, his residence was destroyed by an explosion, and Darnley was found murdered in the garden. Mary was arrested and held prisoner, she was forced to give up the throne for James
- 5. DON’T MESS WITH QUEEN ELIZABETH I . After an unsuccessful attempt to regain the throne, she fled southwards looking of protection from her cousin , Queen Elizabeth I of England. Mary was found guilty of plotting to assassinate Elizabeth, and was subsequently executed.
