I think that the target audience for our film is 15 to 25 year olds, this is because most men enjoy watching aggressive
behavior, language and violence. In modern day society some of the most successful games and films such as Call of Duty,
Battlefield, James Bond and Taken are rated either 15 or 18. these media products all involve the three listed features, this
supports the idea that men are attracted to violence and danger. Our market research reveals that action was surprisingly
the third favorite genre across the board however males (who consisted of 47.8% of our responses) preferred action,
especially between the ages 11 and 20.
To attract our audience, when choosing casting members we took into consideration the age of the actors; the age of actors
in our production varied from 16-18 years of age. We thought that actors being the same age as the audience would appeal
attract the audience as they would be able to relate to each other and hopefully empathize.
Although our main audience would consist of males we considered the female audience. To attract females to our
production we decided to include an attractive male actor, this is beneficial to the marketing of our film as it widens the
audience and in turn increases the economical capital.
Lastly to attract and expand our audience we chose to have actors who were from different ethnic backgrounds. This
allowed viewers from different cultures to feel a sense of acceptance and allowed to them to feel part of a social group
rather than excluding people and rejecting certain backgrounds .
