Throughout the project, the student used various new media technologies for planning, construction, research, and evaluation. For planning and organization, they used email and Facebook Messenger to communicate with their group. For research and development, they utilized blogs, surveys, slide sharing, photography, design software, and video editing tools. Specifically, they conducted audience research using Facebook surveys and Survey Monkey to understand their target demographic. Photoshop and InDesign were used to design promotional materials like a digital package and magazine ad layout. Finally, a DSLR camera, lights, mist machine, and Final Cut Pro software were employed to film and edit their music video with desired effects.
